• Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

Following the success of Life Under Stars in 2014, Carl Weingarten makes an inspired and energetic return to form with The Is Where I Found You, an up-tempo album of ambient jazz instrumentals featuring Carl's space-age slide guitar, and a stellar group of artists form the core lineup, including Michael Manring - bass, Celso Alberti - percussion, Kit Walker on keyboards and Pat Duffey on acoustic guitar. The sound is rich and melodic, with expressive solos by Carl, bringing to mind the ethereal sound of Pat Metheny and the bluesy tones of Bill Frisell, with the experimental influence of Brian Eno. The ensemble includes special guest musicians, providing a diverse range of sounds and textures featuring Tate Bissinger - vocals, Peter Calandra - keyboards, Jeff Oster - trumpet, Suellen Primost on cello, and others including synthesist Ulrich Schnauss of Tangerine Dream.
